Yesterday morning I had the pleasure of attending the 2013 Quilt Fever quilt show, hosted by the Florida Cabin Fever Quilters Guild. It was an enjoyable day, but I have to admit my favorite part of these shows is the vendor side. I think it's fun to poke around all the quilt shops and see what new and interesting products they have brought with them.
I do enjoy looking at the quilts, but I don't spend a lot of time studying them.
I enjoyed my day with my friend, Donna and her sister Connie. We had a lot of fun planning future projects. I am going to make some pajama pants with this fabric that I bought at the show.

Bucket List Part II
So after viewing the gorgeous sun rise we headed west to the area of Tampa Bay. We have vacationed there a few times and really love this side of the state and it's beaches.
Now according to the weather reports it was supposed to rain this day. We really didn't think it would be a big deal since they had called for rain many times with little result. And it should clear off before sunset anyway.
So off we went.
As we drove west we could see quite a stormy looking cloud bank moving toward us. Soon we were socked into a thick cloudy soup with heavy mist and rain.
We drove out across the St.Petetsburg, Sunshine Skyway bridge, normally a beautiful drive, but there was no sunshine this day.
After driving around in the soup all day, we had a late lunch, then went to find a good spot to take a picture at the beach.
We actually ended up driving through Siesta key and Longboat key and ended up in Bradenton. We found a very nice spot and just after 5 pm the clouds began to break up. So that sun we had seen rise out of the ocean several hours earlier met us here. The day had been gloomy and stormy but in the end we were not disappointed.
